Mattress height, a complaint easily remedied

Mixed views on the mattress height of a new Eldred Wheeler bed:

Eldred Wheeler occasionally hears from couples who have ‘mixed views’ on the proper height of the mattress placed on an Eldred Wheeler bed. One may complain the height of the bed mattresses to be too high or too low. This is a complaint easily rectified as Eldred Wheeler has different angle iron sizes on which the mattresses sit and we can raise or lower the bed by giving you different angle irons. Please discuss desired height with your Eldred Wheeler salesperson at order if you know the thickness of your bed and box spring and we will make sure you get the right size angle irons.

A Common
complaint about
Eldred Wheeler beds:

One common complaint involving Eldred Wheeler furniture concerns Eldred Wheeler Beds. The subject of the complaint is the queen support and block that goes beneath the mattress and is attached with an angle iron bolted to both ends to the bed frame.
An Eldred Wheeler customer who has had the bed shipped to them usually thinks the routs at the end of the support should sit on the top of the angle iron - not below. The customer assumes the dovetail for the queen support block has been placed on the wrong side and calls with the complaint that the dovetail to receive the support block in the middle and has been put on the wrong side of thier new Eldred Wheeler bed.
When the Eldred Wheeler customer calls to complain we instruct them to put the routs at the end of the queen support under the angle irons and then insert the block into the dovetail in the middle of the queen support.
This problem quickly is determined by the customer to not be a problem at all and the result is a happy customer and a correctly assembled Eldred Wheeler handcrafted bed! Since Eldred Wheeler beds are built like battleships – the customer can expect to have to explain the same thing too their grandchildren when they pass it down to them many years in the future!
